2022 At-A-Glance Impact Report

A Message From Leadership

We are grateful that 2023 finally marked the beginning of our return to pre-pandemic Brent’s Place operations. With everyone’s health and safety in mind, you’ll notice on your next visit that there are a few more volunteers lending a hand, programming is being revived, and families are emerging to interact with each other. Providing an environment where families connect and find hope, comfort, and healing within each other is one of the things that makes Brent’s Place so special. We are all eager to return to “normal”, where families facing the most difficult time of their lives can - once again - confront their battles together.

We’re proud that, despite the challenges and constraints of a lingering pandemic, Brent’s Place served more families last year than ever before. We also accomplished some significant operational milestones including renovating every apartment in Founder’s House, expanding our food security initiatives, and investing in the sustainability of our team members - the heart and soul of our mission - who are on the frontlines of creating the safe, supportive, and hopeful environment that we’ve built over the past quarter century.

And thanks to the dedication of our Board and Strategic Planning Committee, we continue to work towards solidifying our future growth plan.  It is clear from discussions with our hospital partners that an increasing number of families are seeking world-class medical treatment in the Denver area. In addition, we are learning more about families who travel to other regional medical centers outside of Colorado for lifesaving treatment that could benefit from the one-of-a-kind housing and support we provide.  As the only long-term, Safe-Clean housing option in the Rocky Mountain West that supports the entire family, we are compelled to give ALL families access to the lifesaving therapies and clinical trials that often represent the sole chance for survival. We look forward to keeping you informed about what the future may hold!

From all of us at Brent’s Place, whether you are a donor, volunteer, hospital or community partner, we send heartfelt thanks for being part of this truly special mission. And if you haven’t been to Brent’s Place in a while - or if you are new to our family - we invite you to visit!

With gratitude,
