Summer sun means a growing garden - and team! This season, we welcomed two new team members to the Brent’s Place staff. Lending their talents to the External Affairs and Family Support teams, these two compassionate colleagues are already essential to the ongoing care of our families.
Avi Petrucci (left), a long-time volunteer and friend of Brent’s Place, first joined us earlier this year in a temporary role as Family Support Administrative Assistant. In June, she transitioned to the newly created role of External Affairs Coordinator. Drawing on previous experience in event planning and customer service, her focus at Brent’s Place will be on special events, mid-level donor relationship building, and corporate outreach.
“From a young age, I knew that I wanted to work in the nonprofit sector and make a difference in other people's lives,” she says. “I am so happy to be joining the Brent’s Place team to do just that.”
In her free time, she can be found in the kitchen, baking and cooking, or reading, spending time outdoors, and crafting.
Bri Cavanaugh (right) joins Brent's Place as our new Family Support Administrative Assistant, responsible for family enrollment and housing for pediatric patients and their families. With over 25 years of experience in nonprofits and education, as well as a Masters degree in Mental Health and Wellness with a focus on Family Dynamics, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role on the frontline with our families.
"I've always known it was my purpose to service families and youth,” Bri adds. “It’s an honor to be able to support families in one of their most vulnerable spaces."
Outside of work, Bri enjoys physical activities (walking, kickboxing, Barre and yoga), exploring anime with her children and husband, reading, and writing.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to our new team members! We are so happy they have chosen to share their talents with Brent's Place.
