Where is Brent’s Place located?

Brent’s Place has 16 apartments at our main location near the Anschutz Medical Campus, serving Children’s Hospital Colorado, The University of Colorado Hospital and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. Our second location in downtown Denver has six apartments which serve patients from Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center.

How do I sign up for a place to stay?

To get more information about staying at Brent’s Place, contact your hospital social worker or Allen Browning, Family Services Director, at or 720-343-2804.

Is there a charge to stay?

There is no charge for families to stay with us.Costs are offset by fundraising, grants, and insurance.

Can prospective families tour Brent’s Place prior to arriving?

Prior to moving in, you are welcome to tour Brent’s Place. Please contact the Family Services Director to set up an appointment to ensure that someone will be available to speak with you and give you a tour. Out of consideration for current guests we cannot guarantee that you will see the actual apartment you will be staying in.

What is provided in the apartments?

Each apartment is fully furnished. Two bedroom apartments are equipped with a queen and two twins and one bedroom apartments are equipped with a queen and twin.All apartments contain a television, DVD player, cable television, and wireless internet. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Linens and cleaning supplies are also provided.

What should I bring to the apartment?

You should bring any personal belongings that will make you and your family feel more at home.

Is there internet access and cable in the apartments?

Each apartment is fully equipped with wireless internet and cable.

Is there a telephone in the room?

Each apartment has its own landline phone with answering machine capable of making local calls.

Are meals served?

Volunteer groups provide meals 3-4 days a week. A monthly schedule is provided to residents with additional information about the meal schedule.

How do I handle house cleaning?

The apartments are professionally cleaned between family visits. During your stay you are responsible for the upkeep of your apartment but all cleaning supplies are provided free of charge. The community areas are professionally cleaned on a regular basis.

Are there laundry facilities?

Laundry facilities are available on site on each floor of the building.

Can I receive mail while staying at Brent’s Place?

Yes, each apartment has a private mailbox located in the main lobby of Brent’s Place. Mail and packages can be sent during your stay. Specific details are provided when you check-in.

Is there parking?

Brent’s Place has parking for residents and guests. Each resident is allowed two cars.
